The ASRG operates across Commercial and Defence marine sectors and represents related marine industry sectors providing:

Work opportunity alerts – Immediate notification and coordination of all inquiries and opportunities to industry for the construction and/or maintenance (including voyage repairs) for all vessels, from Cruise ships to Superyachts in all Australian ports. Agents and owners contact the ASRG when they require work to be conducted in Australian ports.
Networking – Eligible members are able to take advantage of the ASRG Preferred Supplier Scheme when submitting tenders etc to fellow ASRG member companies.
Industry events – Promotion of Australian companies’ capabilities through Austrade (Australian Trade Commission), the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and other agencies for comprehensive international and domestic marketing purposes on behalf of the Australian Commercial and Defence marine industry sector.
Industry specific support – Professional and up-to-date notifications are provided to members relating to marketing support, including export and other Government grants, international banking, insurance, port security requirements, legal, crew and other visas, tax including details of eligibility for GST exemption, environmental issues, classification societies, etc.
